The KCNQ2 Cure site is one of two sites that we developed for the KCNQ2 Cure Alliance.
The purpose of this website is to educate, engage, and promote research into KCNQ2 Encephalopathy. This is a genetic disorder that causes epileptic seizures in newborns. In most cases, these seizures go away within one to four months. However, KCNQ2 Encephalopathy can lead to impaired development and autism spectrum disorders.
